About Dunnam's

Before the school was purchased in 1978 by Howard and Mary Ann Dunnam, it had been known as Ms Carole's since the early 70's. Upon its purchase the name changed to Dunnnam's Private School and has remained such for over 40 years.  To remain in business for over 40 years and also within the same family simply shows that we are dedicated to doing things the right way and to loving every child as our own.

Dunnam's offers childcare for ages 6 weeks - 2nd grade! It is a clean and loving environment.  You can leave your children and know they are getting the best care possible. 

Mission Statement:

To offer a Christian based preschool educational experience for children ages 6 weeks through 2nd Grade, where growth is promoted in four specific areas: cognitive development, social & emotional development, creative expression, and physical development;

To help children become aware of their special abilities and individual God given worth as human beings;

To encourage self confidence and channel a child's curiosity and energies into meaningful learning activities and experiences, and

To foster friendships, partnerships, and social development among our children, our staff, our families, and our community through humility, respect, sharing, caring, and a sense of humor.

Hours

​We are open Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The Entire center will be closed on the following days...

•  Day After Thanksgiving

•  Christmas Eve

•  Christmas Day

•  New Years Day

•  4th of July

We follow the Bessemer City School Closings in case of inclement weather.
